Hello everyone! Here is my next Inktober instalment. Today’s word for this one was “Furious”. I had a bit of fun with this one!
I saw today’s word as an opportunity to conclude a silly mini story I’ve been silently doing through my entries. This has some humour in it and includes a vengeful piranha and a somewhat less than innocent dim witted kingfisher.
This is based on two past entries for Day 4, and Day 13 of this challenge. The titles of the entries are called “Kingfisher Shidazzle” and “Different Barrel Of Fish” respectively. You can see them through these links:
For translation and clarity, the text in the artwork says:”OI!! GET BACK HERE!” Said the piranha softly… “You OWE me my money AND my mother’s missing dentures!”
This was done in pen and wash using my Uni Ball Air pen and some acrylic ink, a Posca pen was also used for highlights. It’s unusual that I would colour something “furious” with calming colours, but I did it as an experiment. I do hope that you get the humour!
Now…Time for my Back 2 The Liner story. See below.
To prevent early spoilers, please find the description of the episode below.
In this episode, The pair run for the harbour, now aware of how serious the situation is. Dagger has a memory of how he first met Boundhund, triggered by the sight of the little girl pup in the photo. As the two run through the streets of Doublet, we see that they are being watched… again…
For translation and clarity, the text reads: “They knew the situation was bad, but not as bad as the photos depicted. FURIOUS, they run through the streets of Doublet hunting for the harbour. Thinking of the photos reminded Dagger about how he first met Boundhund. He remembers rescuing Boundhund from the clutches of Poison after he killed both of Boundhund’s parents. All the while, neither of them know that they’re being watched again…”
Gosh I’m exhausted… but now we come to a small second weakness of mine that I especially draw bad when I’m tired like this – Buildings. Don’t worry, some of the simplicity here is deliberate because I want the focus to be on our heroes, for more important buildings, or for certain focuses, I intend to increase detail.
I’m off for now, but I do hope I’ve done this episode justice. As usual, I hope you enjoy my entries. See you next time for the next word “Trail”!
