I shall be gone for a while!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to tell you all that I am in the middle of an intensive illustration project, so I’ll be a bit busy. As a result, I won’t be posting ย anything on Lazfar’s gallery for a while. But don’t worry! I’ll be back when the project is completed! ๐Ÿ™‚

I want to give a huge, massive, gigantic thanks to all of the wonderfully kind people who are following me! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜€ & please don’t unfollow me! I promise i will be back soon!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you ever so much!! Bye for now! ๐Ÿ˜€

Did you look at this?

Using pencil & digital sketches of my newly designed “Ize Queen” boat, I bravely proceed to draw the corresponding image using chalk, onto a brick wall just outside my house. Drawing it was quite a task, as it took a grueling, two and a half days to complete! (I thought that it would take less time then that!) :s

I started off with an outline of the boat. This outline would almost be like a “shell” for me to work into. I did this outline in chalk, though I wish I did it in brick… I would have saved supplies that way.

I began to render in the colours, but then I realized… I was running out of chalk! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I decided to go out & buy some more so that I could continue.

I resumed work after a long rest, (well, after all, working to that scale can get exhausting you know!) I started with the roof & then the body of the boat, colouring it blue.

I then proceed to colour theย icicle pattern white, seat & strip colour green, & blade colour brown & yellow.ย  After that, using yellow; brown; & red, I sketched the text of the boat, “Ize Queen”. It was hard to make the boat look like the original, digital version because of the small amount of colours that I could use, so I had to use my initiative.

& this is the final outcome! ๐Ÿ˜€ At last, after all that work… I had done it! ๐Ÿ˜€ I had finished colouring the boat in base colour, & for a little depth, I used a brown chalk to render some shading, (brown was the only dark colour I could use so that was the only colour I used for shading.

I also added a caption on the top right which reads, “Come & cruise with me!” This, along with myย signatureย & blog URL’s, was added, completing the piece! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, so it isn’t exactly a perfect masterpiece, even I can see parts of the drawing which are disproportionate or wonky, but hey, it stands out for all to see! A lot of people approached me & actually praised me for creating this piece, which made me very happy- I am glad I could spread a little inspiration! ๐Ÿ˜€

It is only a chalk drawing, so it will wash off eventually. Piece of art? Or tacky vandalism? Please comment & tell me what you think!! ๐Ÿ˜€
