Dragon Coast – Incomplete Challenge Piece

Over on my MeWe blog, I created an art challenge around about Valentines’ time known as fantasy heart. The fantasy heart challenge was based on the theme of fantasy and creatively romantic subjects that were not too obviously romantic.

Disappointingly, I was unable to finish this piece which was my entry for that challenge. This was done on A5 Bristol Board using Castle Colour Pencils. It’s about a dragon looking at a romantic view. If only I had the energy to finish this, but I most likely won’t… sigh…

Even writing this description is beginning to get tiring, I know I’m in some sort of block, and it’s difficult to shake off.

Well… that’s all. Either way, I hope everyone enjoys this, even though it isn’t complete. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Main Fire and Ice Wolf piece UPDATE!

Well oops! I’ve been swamped with stuff and forgot to upload my fire and ice wolf piece update. Here’s what’s happening so far.

I had started things all over from scratch and drew some background landscapes. These represent the hot and cold places the wolves would exist in. I’ve drawn things in a sort of “Yin/Yang” fashion for more flow, and I had planned the two wolves to cross over into one another to give the illusion of depth.

Then eventually, I drew the wolves themselves on top. I’ve finally managed to get to a point where I’m somewhat comfortable with progress, although I’m certain this needs further tweaking, which I’ll be working on when I can. Otherwise, I’ll be proceeding to colour and finish this off.

I’m thinking of naming this “Fire Times Ice” as “Fire and Ice” has been done too many times I feel, and I want to show a unique approach.

That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by! Fair feedback is welcome. Cheers!
