Inktober Saga Day 20

Hello everyone! Here is my next Inktober instalment. Today’s word for this one was “Deep”. This one is ok…

Day 20 Deep Deep Trouble

Deep Trouble: A monster trying to get out of a hole.

I have gone back to using a sheet of natural tan coloured paper for this one… With this entry, I wanted to do something simple and fun with a tiny bit of a clever twist, and with the word “deep”, what better way to do this than to do something slightly anamorphic!

Done using liners, a brown pigment marker, and a Posca pen for highlights, I really wanted the situation to look and feel real. I don’t think it’s perfectly done because of some unintentional pen marks, but I hope it does come across how I intend.

By the way, For translation and clarity, the monster is shouting “Help!”

Now…Time for my Back 2 The Liner story. See below.

B2TL Day 20 Deep

B2TL Day 20.

To prevent early spoilers, please find the description of the episode below.

In this episode, The two have one more gangster to eliminate before they can move on. However, he stands and laughs whilst fanning himself with 3 photographs. He throws them on the floor and they turn out to be rather nasty. Our heroes now know that their friends are in danger, that Boundhund’s baby wolf pup exists, and that the mother, Boundhund’s special partner, was brutally murdered. Boundhund turns ferral and mauls the gangster to death.

For translation and clarity, the text reads: “They had nearly defeated the hoard, but there was one more gangster to finish. Strangely, though badly hurt, he was giggling whilst waving something in his face. He threw what turned out to be 3 photographs on the ground. The first one showed Dagger and Boundhund’s friends held up as hostages. The second was of a new mother wolf being murdered after giving birth. The third showed a she-wolf pup being held in Graceful Sophie’s hands. Boundhund winced. Though he cannot speak like a human can, he knew very well what all this meant. It cut him DEEP… He leaped without pause and mauled the thug to death.”

I’ve finished this earlier than usual! Sorry for the bulk of text, and if you need to ask questions, feel free to comment. Cheers!

As usual, I hope you enjoy my entries. See you next time for the next word “Furious”!
